Phil Royer, Treasurer
Phil lives in Aberdeen with his wife and 4 teenage daughters. He works as a contract physical therapist on Ft. Bragg, after retiring in 2023 with 26 years of service. Phil's oldest daughter, Olivia (15), has been playing for SPYRC since 2022 and is an active rugger for the Harlequins. Since Olivia's first year of rugby, the Royer family has grown to love the sport! Phil is especially thankful for the opportunity to support the club as its treasurer, hoping to see this club thrive for years to come.
Outside of rugby, Phil is active in his family's local church, supporting his busy family in all of their pursuits, watching sports, working on classic cars, and woodworking.

Holly Wiggins, Events Coordinator
Hey everyone, I’m excited to volunteer some time with this awesome organization that we’ve been blessed to be a part of since moving here a couple years ago. We’re an army family with 3 boys who all fell in love with rugby stationed overseas in England. There’s just nothing like the culture and community that’s built around the sport, and this club embodies exactly what we quickly grew to love about it in a place so far from home.
We’re a very active family always looking for ways to get outside- whether it’s through sports, fishing, boating, skiing, swimming, or even some good old-fashioned yard work!
I also run a small cottage bakery which allows me to prioritize family, so I’m living the dream! In my spare time when I’m not trying to be in 7 places at once, I love everything diy, gardening, and my love languages are plants and music.
Thanks for having me as I’m so grateful for the opportunity to give back to an organization and sport that feels like home to us. Can’t wait to see you out there… Let’s go SPYRC!

Emily Spivey, Communications Coordinator
Emily is a proud North Carolina native, military wife of over 15 years, and mom of four. She was introduced to rugby in 2013 when her husband, Coach Seth, played for the USMC team at Quantico—and she’s been hooked ever since! We officially joined the Southern Pines Youth Rugby Club family in 2021, where their two oldest sons now play.
Though she’s not a professional photographer, she loves capturing moments—whether it’s on the rugby pitch or during everyday life with her kids. In her spare time, you’ll find her behind a camera, lost in a good book, or planning their next family adventure. She’s just a mom who loves rugby, cherishes time with her kids, and enjoys telling stories through photos.

Allison Anderson, Secretary
Allison is the U8 Head Coach for Southern Pines Youth Rugby Club. She was first introduced to rugby two years ago and hasn’t looked back. One of her favorite things about coaching is watching players have their “ah ha” moment on the pitch after practicing drills for weeks. She is looking forward to being a part of growing the sport of rugby.
